My car AC turned bad when I was in CA, or I just realized it more on my roadtrip there as it was 105F outside. I took it to Firestone since they had a $9.99 special to check the AC system with dye and figure out if there was a leak. They did the work and told me that my condenser was leaking out of the corner and quoted me $650 for replacing the condenser and evacuating/recharging the system. When I hesitated on getting the work done, they told me I could come back in 3 weeks when they were running some special and could give me $100 off. I left and called around to other places and found this other mechanic who was suspicious of their work since he found no evidence of leaks in the condenser. Next, I took my car to Bradshaw's and wanted to have my condenser changed and AC system recharged. They did the due diligence of checking the system and when it held vacuum for over a half hour and they could not locate a leak, they advised me that I should recharge the system with dye included and drive it around and see if there are any issues. I really appreciate their quality of work in thoroughly checking for the problem before fixing the system and also saving me hundreds of dollars! Not to mention Shannon is very pleasant to work with and easily communicated the work that was done. Thank you!!
